CargoWise, a provider of information technology for logistics service providers, has expanded into the road-transport market through a new agreement with Dimotrans S.A., a French LSP. Dimotrans manages the multimodal movement of goods on five continents. CargoWise will implement its ediEnterprise application across Dimotrans' 23 French offices, providing support for forwarding and transportation-management functions. Subsequently, Dimotrans plans to expand ediEnterprise throughout its operations in the Far East. CargoTrans said it has been building a major presence in the European Union transportation and distribution marketplace, offering support for contract logistics activities such as air and sea forwarding, shipping, customs brokerage and warehousing. EdiEnterprise is an integrated platform for supply-chain and logistics management. CargoWise claims more than 80,000 licenses across a community of 4,000 customer sites in more than 75 countries. It is a brand of WiseTechGlobal, an international technology-development company.
